Jewels of Blu

Aqaba · 2007

Fresh · Floral · Aquatic

Aqaba Jewels of Blu is a fresh women's fragrance that links the fruity sweetness of peach and apricot to a floral heart of May rose and ylang-ylang. It opens with peach and apricot, bright and fruity. The heart leans floral with May rose and ylang-ylang, and the base of Bourbon vanilla, Egyptian jasmine and patchouli sweetens it into a powdery, lightly spicy oriental tone. An aquatic accord keeps a fresh edge over the sweetness. Longevity and sillage are moderate. Most voters pick spring and summer, and it suits leisure and daily wear best, with business use also common. Most voters find it feminine. Goutal Passion and Frédéric Haldimann Impressions de Soleil have a close profile.

Aqaba / Aqaba Classic

8.0

Aqaba · 1998

Floral · Fruity · Sweet

Aqaba / Aqaba Classic is a floral, spicy and resinous women's fragrance that suits autumn and winter evenings. Rose and jasmine form a floral backbone: Damask and Bulgarian rose sit beside Egyptian jasmine, while peach adds a soft, sweet fruitiness. Cinnamon, cardamom and clove bring spicy warmth, and frankincense and oakmoss pull the scent towards a resinous, woody, slightly smoky side. Tea and white cedarwood stay in the background, and an animal accord adds depth throughout. Longevity is rated strong and sillage good. Most voters pick autumn and winter, with nights out and evenings leading the occasions. It reads mostly feminine, with some voters calling it classic. Neela Vermeire Créations Trayee and Ormonde Jayne Muscat have a close profile.

Sands of Aqaba

7.8

Floral · Green · Sweet

Aqaba Sands of Aqaba is a floral-green scent that opens with geranium, iris and chamomile and rests on vetiver and frankincense, with a spicy, sweet oriental shadow. In the top, Algerian geranium, Florentine iris and Roman chamomile build a green, powdery floral feel. Coriander and cardamom bring spice to the heart, while vetiver, frankincense and tuberose settle the scent onto a woody, sweet base. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate. Most voters lean towards fall, followed by summer and spring, and it suits evenings, leisure time and nights out. It reads mainly feminine, with a classic streak. Histoires de Parfums 1899 and Guerlain Mahora have a close profile.

Midnight Sun

7.1

Aqaba · 2007

Floral · Spicy · Woody

Aqaba Midnight Sun is an oriental floral for women that sets heady tuberose, gardenia and rose against the warmth of oud and sandalwood. It is rated strong in longevity and good in sillage. Voters don't tie it to one season: spring leads slightly, but all four seasons draw close votes. Night-out and evening wear are the most common picks, while leisure and daily use come well behind. As a whole the scent reads floral and spicy. Freesia, orange blossom, gardenia and damask rose form the flower side, while oud and sandalwood add a woody, animal depth. The chypre and oriental accords keep it heavy and warm.

Aqaba Spring

7.4

Aqaba · 2005

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Aqaba Spring is a fresh but sweet-leaning women's fragrance built on blackcurrant, mandarin orange and three different roses. Its longevity and sillage are both rated good, though the votes are few, so this is not a firm verdict. Voters place it equally in daytime, evening and night-out wear, with business and leisure use trailing behind. It opens with blackcurrant, mandarin orange and cinnamon, a citrus freshness with a touch of spice. The heart is floral, with Turkish, Damask and Moroccan rose alongside jasmine. The base of apricot, peach blossom, clove and Bourbon vanilla carries it toward a fruity, sweet, powdery finish.

Aqaba Men

6.9

Aqaba · 2006

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Aqaba Men is a masculine fragrance that pairs fresh citrus with leather and wood in a chypre-leaning style. Longevity is good and sillage moderate, so it makes itself known without filling the room. Most voters pick it for evenings and nights out, with leisure and daily wear also fitting, while office use sits further back. Amalfi lemon and green notes give it a fresh, citrus-led feel. White blossoms soften that, cognac and sandalwood add depth, and leather brings out the leathery, woody character. Spicy and oriental touches warm the balance.
