Son Of a Gun

CinisLabs

Spicy · Woody · Resinous

CinisLabs Son Of a Gun is a unisex scent built on amber, leather, tar and gun powder, with a spicy, smoky, resinous character. The notes read as one whole rather than a top, heart and base sequence: woods, frankincense and resins lay a dry, earthy ground, while spices sharpen it. Tar and gun powder add a smoky, leathery edge, and amber softens that edge a little. Longevity and sillage are rated good. Most voters pick autumn, winter and spring, with summer trailing behind. It leans towards evening, leisure and night-out wear, and voters most often call it masculine or classic. Spiritwoods Kraꓘen and Meo Fusciuni Buio have a close profile.

Fueled / Fueled Up

7.9

CinisLabs

Sweet · Synthetic · Spicy

CinisLabs Fueled / Fueled Up pairs metallic notes, fuel and lubricating oil with sandalwood and spices, a sweet, synthetic scent made for men. The notes read as one whole rather than a top, heart and base: metallic notes, fuel and lubricating oil give it a workshop edge, while pepper and spices sharpen it. Sandalwood, rosewood and vetiver build a woody floor, and musk softens it. Sweet, synthetic, spicy and woody accords lead, with animal, resinous and leathery tones sitting behind. Voters find the longevity strong and the sillage good. Most pick fall and winter, though spring and summer still draw a fair share. Leisure, evening and night out lead the occasions, and business wear gets the fewest votes. Rammstein Gasolin and Maison Margiela Ideal One have a close profile.

The spicy accord keeps the sweetness from turning too soft. Longevity and sillage are rated good. Of those who voted on its character, more call it masculine than feminine, though it sits comfortably as a unisex fragrance. Modern and classic both get a few votes too. CinisLabs

Sweet · Spicy · Woody
