L'Oriental

Estelle Ewen

Fruity · Sweet · Synthetic

Estelle Ewen L'Oriental is a men's fragrance that moves from a fruity, sweet opening into a spicy, powdery, gourmand oriental feel; it has been discontinued. It opens bright and fruity with bergamot, orange blossom and apple. In the heart, cinnamon, nutmeg, sage and lavender build a spicy warmth. In the base, vanilla and tonka bean sweeten it, while ambergris and musk hold it on a soft, powdery ground. Voters find the longevity strong and the sillage good. Most pick fall and winter, with spring third and summer well behind. It leans towards evenings and nights out, and also works for leisure time. Most voters read it as masculine.

L'Oriental White Edition

7.9

Estelle Ewen

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Estelle Ewen L'Oriental White Edition is a fresh, floral men's fragrance that opens on green leaves, cardamom and grapefruit, with tuberose and marine notes giving it a cool, watery turn. It starts with green leaves, cardamom and grapefruit, a sharp, citrusy freshness. In the heart, tuberose, melon, cedar leaf and ylang-ylang add a soft floral and fruity layer. The base of marine notes, sandalwood, leather, tree moss and amber settles the aquatic feel onto a woody, slightly leathery ground, with sweet and creamy tones staying in the background. Longevity and sillage are rated good, though only a small number of voters have rated them. It is classed as a men's fragrance, and its fresh, aquatic character suits everyday wear.

L'Oriental Oud Sahara

7.2

Estelle Ewen

Fresh · Spicy · Woody

Estelle Ewen L'Oriental Oud Sahara is a men's fragrance that opens with a fresh touch but is at heart spicy, woody and oriental. Oud leads at the top and gives the scent a dark, woody weight. Spices in the heart turn that severity warm and sharp, while the fresh accord keeps the whole from feeling heavy. Sandalwood forms the base, so the dry-down settles into a softer, creamier woodiness. This perfume has been discontinued, and it suits those who like oriental, oud-driven scents. Alexandria Fragrances Egyptian Seduction and Al-Muhib Oud Abyad have a close profile.
