Eau de Toilette

Geoffrey Beene Grey Flannel Eau de Toilette is a discontinued men's fragrance that sets the fresh green of lemon, bergamot and galbanum on a powdery, woody base of violet, iris and cedar. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Most voters pick autumn and spring, with winter and summer further behind. Daily wear, leisure and business are the top occasions. Voters mostly call its character masculine and classic. It opens with lemon, bergamot, neroli, galbanum and petitgrain, a citrusy, green freshness. In the heart, geranium, narcissus, violet, rose, iris, sage and mimosa add a floral, powdery softness. Vetiver, cedar, tonka bean, almond and oakmoss then dry it down to an earthy, woody chypre-fougère feel.

Eau de Toilette

Geoffrey Beene Eau de Grey Flannel Eau de Toilette is a masculine scent that pairs a fresh mandarin and lemon opening with a woody base of lavender, patchouli and sandalwood. Longevity is moderate and sillage weak, so it stays close to the skin. Most voters pick spring and summer, with daily, leisure and business wear leading and evening rarely chosen. Most see it as masculine. It has been discontinued. It opens with star anise, thyme, mandarin orange and lemon, with cypress and cedar leaf adding green. Clary sage, eucalyptus, lavender and patchouli form the heart, drying down to sandalwood, vetiver and musk. Overall it reads fresh, citrusy and green, with spice and wood in the background.
