Clair de Jour

Fresh · Citrus · Floral
Lanvin Clair de Jour opens with hyacinth, aldehydes and bergamot, carries rose and jasmine in the heart, and is a powdery, green-leaning chypre for women; it has been discontinued.
The top pairs hyacinth, aldehydes, black locust, bergamot and green notes for a fresh, citrusy start. The heart turns to lily of the valley, rose, jasmine, magnolia and cyclamen, a floral garden feel. The base of civet, sandalwood, oakmoss, musk and cedarwood dries down woody, spicy and powdery.
Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate. Most voters pick spring and summer, with daily wear and leisure leading, and evening and office also getting votes. Half of voters call it feminine, and some also read it as classic. Rabanne Mētāl and Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche have a close profile.
