Feu de Bengale (2016)

Lesquendieu · 2016

Floral · Fruity · Sweet

Lesquendieu Feu de Bengale (2016) is a unisex scent that carries a floral, fruity sweetness on a powdery, creamy base, and it suits fall and winter evenings best. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Most voters pick fall, winter and spring, with summer a small minority. It leans towards evenings, leisure time and nights out, and also reaches into daily and office wear. Half of voters read it as feminine, while the rest split between modern, classic and masculine. The top opens with fig, davana and almond, so the sweetness arrives early. Towards the heart, tolu balm, Italian mandarin orange, iris and Bulgarian rose add a floral, resinous softness. The base of musk, tonka bean and Bourbon vanilla leaves it warm, creamy and gourmand.

Lesquendieu Le Parfum

7.8

Lesquendieu · 2016

Floral · Sweet · Spicy

Lesquendieu Le Parfum is a creamy, powdery unisex scent in which a floral and sweet body is shaded with spice, smoke and leather. It opens with bergamot, tea and birch, then moves into labdanum, jasmine and tonka bean at the heart. Vanilla, amber and cedar form the base, giving it a sweet, warm and woody footing. The smoky and leathery tones stay in the background and soften the sweetness. Its longevity and sillage are moderate. Most voters pick it for leisure, business and daily wear, with evening and night out chosen less often. Joop! Le Bain (Eau de Parfum) and Tom Ford Eau d'Ombré Leather have a close profile.

Glorilis (2016)

7.7

Lesquendieu · 2016

Floral · Spicy · Woody

Lesquendieu Glorilis is a unisex scent with a floral frame, shaped by spice, resin and smoke and leaning woody. Voters find its longevity and sillage both good, though the number of votes is small, so the picture is tentative. It reads unisex rather than clearly masculine or feminine. It opens with black pepper, carnation and bergamot, and its heart brings labdanum, geranium and rose. The base holds vetiver, frankincense, vanilla and cedar. Spice and smoke give the floral side an edge, while vanilla softens the resinous base.

Bonne Fortune (2016)

7.2

Lesquendieu · 2016

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Lesquendieu Bonne Fortune is a fresh, citrus-led unisex scent built around grapefruit, mandarin orange and bergamot. It opens with three bright, fruity citrus notes. In the heart, vetiver, ginger and mint add a green, spicy and earthy side, while the floral touch stays in the background. The base rests on tonka bean, gaiac wood and cedarwood, a woody footing where the tonka softens the citrus start a little. Atkinsons Mint & Tonic and Davidoff Horizon have a close profile.
