Hélène (2016)

Rancé 1795 · 2016

Fresh · Floral · Green

Rancé 1795 Hélène (2016) is a fresh, floral fragrance that sets a sweet, powdery bouquet over a green and fruity brightness. It is a women's perfume. The top notes of currant, pear and lemon give a light, fruity start. In the heart, magnolia, neroli, rose and jasmine lead, while peach blossom and heliotrope add sweetness and a powdery touch, and pink pepper brings a little spice. The base of tonka bean, patchouli, musk and amber settles the scent on a creamy, resinous, woody footing. Longevity and sillage are moderate, though the number of voters is small, so these ratings are tentative. The fresh, floral character sits close to everyday wear. Its profile is close to Montblanc Femme Individuelle and Lanvin Rumeur 2 Rose.

Sur Mon Cœur

7.5

Rancé 1795 · 2012

Fresh · Floral · Green

Rancé 1795 Sur Mon Cœur is a women's perfume that pairs a fresh, floral character with a sweet, spicy warmth. Most voters recommend it for daily wear and the office, and it also finds a place for evenings and nights out. It reads clearly as a feminine fragrance. Orange blossom, ylang-ylang and Grasse rose lead the scent, while tuberose and jasmine sambac carry the floral heart, with pink pepper and Chinese rhubarb adding a green, spicy edge. In the base, tonka bean, benzoin, amber and Bourbon vanilla sweeten it and give it an oriental warmth. A fruity brightness runs through it.

Sharisme Insensé

7.8

Rancé 1795 · 2019

Citrus · Aquatic · Green

Rancé 1795 Sharisme Insensé is a citrusy, spicy and smoky men's fragrance in which bergamot, frankincense and black pepper meet leather and mastic. The top opens fresh, green and slightly fruity with bergamot, clary sage, blackcurrant and juniper berry. In the heart, marine notes and maritime pine add an aquatic coolness while leather and mastic bring a smoky, resinous tone. The base settles on musk, vanilla, patchouli and Virginia cedar, woody and earthy. Longevity and sillage are rated good, though few have voted. It reads masculine, and its leather and resin tones sit closer to cooler weather. Zara LTH/02 Leather Freestyle and Moresque Ubar 1992 have a close profile.
