Strings of Errors Oud 50 is a smoky, resinous unisex scent that opens on Taif rose absolute and Turkish rose absolute and deepens into oud and tobacco absolute; it has been discontinued.
The two rose absolutes lead. The heart pairs tobacco absolute, opoponax absolute, labdanum absolute and frankincense with Indonesian, Thai, Chinese and Malayan oud. The base holds leather, Java vetiver, sandalwood and musk. A floral, sweet side is set against a spicy, woody, leathery backbone.
Longevity is rated strong and sillage good, though only a small number of voters have rated it. Its dense, oriental character suits men and women alike. Guerlain Santal Royal and Montale Oud Edition have a close profile.
