Arise

7.9

Syxgott · 2022

Fresh · Citrus · Synthetic

Syxgott Arise is a men's fragrance that opens with Calabrian lemon, orange and ginger, then turns spicy and woody through cumin, cardamom and cedar. Voters rate Arise's longevity and sillage as good, though the number of votes is small, so that picture is still forming. There are no season or occasion votes to draw on, so nothing is claimed there; it is classed as a men's fragrance. The top notes of Calabrian lemon, orange and ginger give a fresh, citrusy start. In the heart, green cardamom, cade juniper wood, cumin and red cedar build a spicy, woody body. The base of tobacco, tonka bean and vetiver settles it onto a warm, dry footing. A synthetic edge runs through the accords.

Heartbreaker

7.1

Syxgott · 2024

Fresh · Aquatic · Green

Syxgott Heartbreaker is a spicy, fresh men's fragrance that opens on cardamom, grapefruit and cinnamon and settles into lavender and a woody base of liquorice. The top notes are cardamom, grapefruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon, so spice and citrus sit side by side. In the heart, lavender and orange soften that opening, while liquorice, patchouli, amber and cedarwood in the base give it a woody, slightly smoky footing. The aquatic and green sides keep the spice from turning heavy. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, though few people have rated it, so treat those figures as tentative. It is classed as a men's fragrance. French Avenue Enigma Une and Emir Men have a close profile.
