Von Sierstorpff - The Scent of a Gentleman is a masculine chypre that sets the brightness of bergamot, mandarin orange and lemon zest over a smoky base of vetiver, tobacco and frankincense; it has been discontinued.
Voters rate its longevity as good and its sillage as moderate. Spring and autumn lead slightly among the seasons, with summer and winter not far behind, and business, evening and daily wear draw almost equal votes. Most voters call it masculine, and some find it classic.
The citrus notes open fresh and green. In the heart, geranium, cardamom, Brazilian rosewood and eucalyptus add a floral, spicy turn. The smoky, woody side then takes over as vetiver, tobacco, frankincense, musk and sandalwood settle in.
