Jasmin et Cigarette

Etat Libre d'Orange · 2006

Floral · Sweet · Synthetic

Etat Libre d'Orange Jasmin et Cigarette sets jasmine absolute beside turmeric and galbanum, giving a floral, sweet scent with a smoky edge. It opens with the green, sharp side of clary sage and galbanum. In the heart, turmeric adds spice next to the jasmine, and the floral character turns harder with spicy and smoky tones. The base brings tonka bean sweetness and maté absolute, and the scent dries down woody with a faintly synthetic feel. Longevity and sillage are rated moderate. Most voters pick fall and spring, and leisure and evening wear lead the occasions. It was released as a women's fragrance, and most voters call it feminine, though a fair share find it masculine.

Olibere Paradis Lointains is a fresh, sweet women's fragrance that opens on bergamot, passion fruit and pink pepper and moves into a floral heart of tuberose and gardenia. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate. Most voters place it in spring and fall, and it leans towards leisure, daily wear and the office. It reads mainly feminine and classic. The top holds turmeric, juniper, passion fruit, pink pepper and bergamot, a fruity freshness with a spicy edge. The heart of clove, ylang-ylang, tuberose, ozonic notes, gardenia and beeswax is floral with a green touch. The base of vanilla, honey, sandalwood and moss settles into something sweet, woody and resinous. Romeo Gigli per Uomo (Eau de Toilette) and Jacomo Paradox Green have a close profile.
