House of Matriarch Alpha is a green, woody and smoky men's fragrance built around hemp, cypress and incense, and it has been discontinued.
The top opens green, dry and earthy with hemp, cypress and Texas cedar. Incense and Ethiopian frankincense bring a resinous, smoky heart. The base of copal resin, sandalwood and oakmoss sets a woody ground, with spicy and animalic touches running through it.
Longevity and sillage are rated good. Most voters pick fall and winter, and leisure and evening wear lead the occasions. It is marketed to men, yet a sizeable share of voters read it as feminine. House of Matriarch Khephera and Amouage Epic Man have a close profile.
