Yuzu Man

6.7

Caron · 2011

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Caron Yuzu Man is a fresh, citrusy men's fragrance that suits spring and summer days. Most voters recommend it for spring and summer, and it is mainly worn for daily use, leisure and the office. Longevity is moderate and sillage weak, so it stays close to the skin. Most voters find it masculine, though a good share read it as feminine. The scent as a whole is fresh and green; Japanese yuzu and Indian verbena carry the citrus brightness. Lemon basil adds a green, slightly spicy edge, while Provençal fig brings a soft fruity touch. Australian sandalwood and Atlas cedar form a woody base. Goldfield & Banks Bohemian Lime and DSH Perfumes Thé Vert have a close profile.

Agua de Loewe Él

6.6

Loewe · 2009

Fresh · Citrus · Aquatic

Loewe Agua de Loewe Él is a fresh, juicy men's fragrance built on citrus, water and green apple, suited to warm weather and easygoing daily wear. Most voters recommend summer and spring, and it is picked most often for leisure, business and daily wear. Its longevity and sillage are rated moderate, so it stays close rather than filling the room. Half of the voters read it as masculine, with a good share calling it modern. Bergamot, yuzu, pink grapefruit and clementine give it a bright citrus opening. In the heart, aquatic notes, pineapple, green apple and blackcurrant add a cool, fruity feel. The base of Atlas cedar, sandalwood, musk and oakmoss settles into a soft woodiness.

Inside for Man

7.4

Trussardi · 2006

Citrus · Floral · Green

Trussardi Inside for Man is a men's fragrance that sets citrus and green freshness against a spicy, sweet, woody warmth; it has been discontinued. It opens with basil, Sicilian bergamot and Japanese yuzu, a bright, slightly green citrus. In the heart, coffee bean and tobacco bring a gourmand sweetness, while white pepper adds a spicy edge. The base of cashmere wood, teakwood and musk settles it onto a woody, lightly powdery footing. Longevity and sillage are rated moderate. Most voters pick fall, followed by winter, and night out is the occasion that leads, with daily and business wear close behind. MaxMara Kashmina Touch and Boucheron Trouble have a close profile.

Eau de Toilette

John Player Special JPS Black Eau de Toilette is a men's fragrance with a fresh, aquatic face over a spicy, woody and tobacco-tinged base. Voters rate its longevity and sillage as moderate, though the sample is small, so this is a loose impression. There is no season or occasion data, but the profile reads clearly masculine. It opens with ginger, bergamot, apple and Japanese yuzu, a bright, green start. The heart of black pepper, sage, lavender and cinnamon adds a spicy, fougère character. The base of frankincense, patchouli, tobacco and sandalwood is woody with a leathery edge, softened by white musk. Hugo Boss Boss Bottled Infinite and Montblanc Présence (Eau de Toilette) have a close profile.
