Pure XS

Rabanne · 2017

Fresh · Fruity · Sweet

Rabanne Pure XS is a men's fragrance that pairs a fresh, sweet side with a spicy, gourmand core, and it suits autumn and winter evenings best. Most voters pick autumn and winter, with spring not far behind; summer is the least chosen season. It leans towards nights out and evenings, and leisure wear is common too. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Voters call it masculine and modern. Cinnamon, ginger and thyme give it a spicy frame, while vanilla, sugar and liqueur sweeten it into a soft gourmand mood. Leather, musk and myrrh lay a warm, woody base underneath. Fresh and fruity accords lighten the weight, and there is a synthetic sheen to it. Hugo Boss The Scent Intense for Him and Halloween Man have a close profile.

The Perfume Man

7.5

Nike

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Nike The Perfume Man is a men's fragrance that opens with basil, green notes and lavender, then turns sweeter with tobacco and honey. Voters find both its longevity and sillage weak, though the sample is small, so this is not a firm verdict. With no season or occasion votes, all that can be said is that it is made for men. At the start, basil, green notes and lavender give it a fresh, green, fougère feel. Tobacco, honey and woods move in at the heart and sweeten it. The base of liqueur, bran, labdanum, musk, cypress and sandalwood settles into a woody, resinous, creamy finish. Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme Intenso (Eau de Parfum) and Chanel Boy have a close profile.
