Eau de Parfum

Givenchy Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum is a men's scent for fall and winter evenings, setting a fresh, sweet opening on a woody, powdery base. The top pairs French sage with Guatemala cardamom for a fresh, spicy start. In the heart, French narcissus absolute meets three vetivers, and the base of Himalayan cedar, Australian sandalwood and Bourbon vanilla absolute turns creamy, woody and softly sweet. Longevity and sillage are rated good. Most voters pick fall and winter, with summer well behind, and it suits evenings and nights out best while also working for daily and office wear. Its character reads mostly masculine and modern.

Sauvage Extrait

7.4

Dior · 2026

Fresh · Spicy · Woody

Dior Sauvage Extrait opens with Provençal lavender, Ambroxan and Calabrian bergamot, then turns darker around Vietnamese oud and patchouli: a distinctly masculine scent that suits cooler seasons and evenings best. Most voters pick winter and fall, and evening and night out are the occasions it is chosen for most. Its longevity and sillage are both rated very strong, and most see it as masculine and modern. It is rarely chosen for daytime or the office. The top notes of lavender, bergamot and Ambroxan give a fresh, clean start. Vietnamese oud in the heart adds a resinous, smoky weight. In the base, Indonesian patchouli, Virginia cedar wood, Atlas cedar and Madagascan vetiver build a woody, earthy foundation, with spicy and animal tones running through it. Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud and Frapin Nevermore have a close profile.

Kokain Gold

7.8

Rammstein · 2021

Citrus · Sweet · Spicy

Rammstein Kokain Gold is a men's fragrance for fall and winter evenings, with citrus and spice set on a resinous, woody base; it has been discontinued. The top holds copaiba balsam, frankincense and Sichuan pepper, while citrus notes, turmeric and bitter orange make up the heart. A sweet accord softens the spicy, citrusy side. In the base, ambergris, poivrol and Madagascan vetiver pull the scent towards earthy, smoky and slightly leathery ground. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Most voters pick fall and winter, and it is mentioned most for evenings and nights out. Masculine is the character voted most often. Vida Loca for Him

7.5

Mandarina Duck · 2023

Fresh · Aquatic · Green

Mandarina Duck Vida Loca for Him opens with mint, pineapple and Madagascan mandarin orange, a fresh, fruity men's fragrance that dries down into sweet vanilla. Voters rate its longevity and sillage as moderate, though the number of votes is small, so this is only a rough guide. It is sold as a men's fragrance and dates from 2023. Mint and pineapple carry the brightness of the mandarin up top, and the aquatic and green accords add to the freshness. In the heart, lavender, sage and geranium build a green frame while coconut brings a creamy softness. At the base, vanilla and tonka bean turn sweeter, and vetiver keeps that sweetness on a dry footing.

JV x NJ - John Varvatos x Nick Jonas (crimson)

6.6

John Varvatos · 2018

Fresh · Citrus · Fruity

John Varvatos JV x NJ - John Varvatos x Nick Jonas is a men's fragrance that opens with Cuban rum, green apple and Calabrian bergamot, with saffron and suede in the heart. Its longevity and sillage are moderate, which makes it an easy scent to wear through the day without crowding anyone. Nothing is known here about season or occasion, but the fresh, spicy build reads masculine. The opening is bright and fruity, with rum, apple and bergamot, while cedar leaf and coffee dry it out a little. The heart brings amber, saffron, suede and lavender together into a sweet, spicy, faintly leathery body. The base of labdanum, patchouli, vetiver and musk leaves a resinous, earthy warmth. Acqua di Sardegna Lò and Khadlaj Icon have a close profile.

Yacht Club

7.2

Scalpers · 2023

Fresh · Citrus · Aquatic

Scalpers Yacht Club is a fresh, citrusy and aquatic fragrance made for men, with a sweet, earthy undertone. Longevity is good and sillage moderate, so it stays close rather than filling a room. The number of votes is small, so these impressions are tentative. It opens with Italian lemon, Madagascan pink pepper leaf and Guatemala cardamom, a bright, lightly spicy start. Madagascan vetiver and Australian sandalwood absolute form the heart, adding a creamy softness. The base of Indonesian patchouli, blue amber and Atlas cedar settles into an earthy, woody finish.
