Dia Man

8.1

Amouage · 2002

Fresh · Floral · Sweet

Amouage Dia Man is a men's fragrance that opens with frankincense, cardamom and bitter orange, then settles into a powdery, woody base of iris and vetiver. The opening brings frankincense, cardamom, bitter orange and labdanum, fresh and resinous at once. In the heart, iris, plum blossom, ylang-ylang and peony add a soft, powdery floral layer. The base of vetiver, leather, patchouli and amber leaves a woody, sweet and faintly smoky trail. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate. Most voters pick fall, followed by spring, and daily, evening and business wear are close together. It is mostly seen as masculine and classic. Amouage Opus I and Versace Man (Eau de Toilette) have a close profile.

Intoxicate

8.2

La Fede

Floral · Sweet · Gourmand

La Fede Intoxicate is a floral, sweet gourmand with creamy, spicy warmth, presented as a masculine fragrance. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Most voters pick autumn and winter, and the occasions named most often are evenings, nights out and leisure time. Though it is labelled masculine, voters split evenly between masculine and feminine, so it sits somewhere in between. Mandarin orange, bergamot and cognac open fresh with a faint boozy edge, softened by almond and freesia. In the heart, peony and plum blossom give a floral backdrop while cinnamon adds spice and caramel and coconut add sweetness. It settles into a creamy, warm base of amber, praliné, vanilla, musk and sandalwood.

Moonrise on the Horizon Intense

7.4

Zara · 2026

Fresh · Fruity · Sweet

Zara Moonrise on the Horizon Intense is a men's fragrance that sets a fresh, fruity opening against a sweet, gourmand and woody base. Longevity and sillage are rated moderate, though with few votes these figures are only a tendency. Value for money is rated high. It is classed as a men's fragrance; with no season or occasion votes, nothing more can be said on when it suits best. The top opens with ginger, red berries and white rum, so spice and fruity sweetness arrive together. In the heart, jasmine, mango wood and plum blossom soften that sweetness. The base of white musk, cypriol, Woodleather® and amber leaves a warm, woody trail. Montblanc Homme Exceptionnel and Parfums de Marly Layton have a close profile.

Van Gils I (Eau de Toilette)

8.0

Van Gils · 2018

Citrus · Floral · Sweet

Eau de Toilette

Van Gils I Eau de Toilette is a men's scent where citrus and spice sit on a sweet, powdery, woody base, with gourmand and fougère touches among its accords. Its longevity and sillage are moderate. The number of votes is small, so this is only a rough picture, but those who have tried it rate its value for money highly. It opens with cardamom, bergamot, plum blossom and chili, fresh and spicy. The heart brings patchouli, lavender, iris and pimento; the base of vetiver, tonka bean, musk, vanilla and sandalwood sweetens it and settles into a creamy warmth. Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial and Rasasi Daarej pour Homme have a close profile.

Cocoa 02 Indulgent

7.2

Zara · 2025

Floral · Sweet · Gourmand

Zara Cocoa 02 Indulgent is a men's fragrance that carries a floral, spicy opening into the sweetness of dark chocolate and Bourbon vanilla, with a clearly gourmand character. Spicy notes and plum blossom come first. At the heart sit dark chocolate, heliotrope and labdanum, with the chocolate resting the sweetness on a powdery, resinous base. In the base, woods, musk, Bourbon vanilla and amber settle into a woody, oriental warmth. Longevity is rated good, though only a few people have voted so far. Its sweet, spicy, powdery build suits those who like a warm, soft scent, and its value for money is rated highly. Its profile is close to L'Artisan Parfumeur L'Eau d'Ambre Extrême and Jovoy Ambre Premier.
