Party on the Moon

Haute Fragrance Company · 2017

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Haute Fragrance Company Party on the Moon is a unisex scent that sets the fresh, green side of citrus and black tea against a powdery, creamy woodiness, and it leans towards spring and summer, easy leisure and daily wear. Calabrian mandarin orange, black tea and Calabrian bergamot make a bright, clean opening. Cedarwood, violet leaf and blackcurrant then bring in a green, lightly spicy heart. In the base, musk and Mysore sandalwood soften everything into a creamy, powdery woodiness. Its longevity and sillage are rated good. Most voters pick spring and summer, and leisure, daily wear and the office are the most common settings. Most voters read it as feminine, though it works as unisex. Its profile is close to Ermenegildo Zegna Florentine Iris and Celine Cologne Française.

Malatesta

7.4

V Canto · 2020

Floral · Fruity · Sweet

V Canto Malatesta is a unisex scent that opens on mandarin and iris and moves into leather, lavender and oud, its floral, sweet side balanced by a woody, leathery base. The top is Calabrian mandarin orange, Sicilian orange and two kinds of iris. In the heart, pink pepper, jasmine and Italian lavender mix with Tuscan leather and Lebanon cedar. The base holds Indian patchouli, musk, oud and vanilla, and the dry-down settles into a powdery, creamy, sweet woodiness. Longevity is rated strong and sillage good, though few people have voted, so these ratings are only a rough guide. It reads equally well on men and women. Simone Andreoli Criminal Lipstick and Gisada Ambassadora have a close profile.

Prima Terra

7.5

Fendi · 2024

Fresh · Citrus · Floral

Fendi Prima Terra is a fresh, green unisex fragrance built around oakmoss, Sicilian mandarin orange and Moroccan rosemary; it has been discontinued. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, though the ratings come from few voters and should be read loosely. It sits comfortably between masculine and feminine, reading as a true unisex. Citrus and rosemary lead: the Sicilian and Calabrian mandarins add brightness, while the Moroccan and Tunisian rosemary bring a green, spicy freshness. Oakmoss and woody notes ground it in an earthy base, with leathery notes leaving a faintly dry trace behind.

Leon

7.9

V Canto · 2021

Fresh · Floral · Green

V Canto Leon is a unisex fragrance that opens with a fresh floral burst of Mexican tuberose, Calabrian mandarin and Bulgarian rose, then turns sweeter with coconut and vanilla. The opening pairs tuberose, mandarin, rose and Sicilian grapefruit, so the florals come with a citrus lift. The heart adds Italian peach, magnolia, Thai coconut, ylang-ylang and jasmine sambac, giving it a soft, fruity side. In the base, Tuscan birch, maple wood, musk, cedar and Bourbon vanilla settle it onto a woody, sweet footing, with the green and fresh accords still showing. Longevity and sillage are rated moderate, though few people have voted, so treat that as a rough guide. Its unisex profile suits men and women alike. Acqua di Parma Magnolia Nobile and Fueguia 1833 Malena have a close profile.
