It's a Match-a

Versȧtıle · 2025

Green · Fruity · Sweet

Versȧtıle It's a Match-a is a unisex scent that opens with matcha, Italian bergamot and Italian lemon, then softens into vanilla and coumarin. Longevity is moderate and sillage weak, so it sits close to the skin and stays quiet. The number of votes is small, so this reading is tentative. There is no data on seasons or occasions, so nothing more specific can be said beyond its unisex character. The top pairs matcha with citrus for a green, fresh start, brightened by aldehydes. In the heart, Indian tuberose and coumarin add a powdery softness. The base settles on Bourbon vanilla absolute, vanillin and sandalore, a sweet, creamy foundation where the gourmand and fruity sides come forward.

Sailors

7.3

The Zoo · 2018

Fresh · Aquatic · Green

The Zoo Sailors is a fresh, aquatic unisex scent whose green and spicy sides sit on a woody base. Its notes read as a single whole rather than a top-to-base progression: mandarin orange, lemon and grapefruit give a bright citrus feel, while kelp and violet leaf run between water and green. Clove and cinnamon leaf add a spicy warmth, and Indian sandalwood and Ambrox lay down a woody, distinctly synthetic-feeling foundation. Voters rate its longevity and sillage as good, though the number of votes is small, so those ratings are tentative. It suits men and women alike. For a close profile, Jaguar Pace and Nautica Life are worth a look.

Éclat de Rose

7.7

Versace · 2019

Fresh · Floral · Woody

Versace Éclat de Rose is a fresh, floral unisex scent that opens with jasmine and peony and carries Rosa centifolia at its heart. Jasmine and peony in the top notes give a light, bright floral start, and Rosa centifolia carries that floral character through the heart. In the base, cashmere wood, Helvetolide® and Ambrox lay a woody, powdery bed under the flowers. Smoky and animalic accents are present too, but they stay in the background. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, so it wears close without pushing itself on a room. It reads comfortably on both men and women. The ratings come from a small number of votes, so they are only a rough guide. Courrèges C and Van Cleef & Arpels Muguet Blanc have a close profile.

Beso de Sol

7.2

Beso Beach · 2024

Fresh · Floral · Fruity

Beyond the fresh, floral and fruity core, the accords add gourmand, creamy, spicy and woody touches. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, so it makes itself known without filling the room.
