Parfumeurs du Monde · 2021

Citrus · Floral · Green

Parfumeurs du Monde Makeda is a unisex scent that sets bright citrus against the sweet warmth of vanilla and resin. It wears at a moderate strength, with moderate longevity and sillage. Most voters pick fall and spring, and it leans towards leisure, business and evening wear. Votes split evenly between masculine and feminine, so it sits comfortably in between. The top opens green and spicy with mastic, mandarin orange, bergamot and pink pepper. Orris butter, osmanthus and rose give the heart a soft floral touch. The base of labdanum, vanilla, tobacco and sandalwood settles into something sweet, woody and resinous. Ormonde Jayne Black Gold and Meo Fusciuni Encore du Temps have a close profile.

Elementals · 2022

Citrus · Floral · Fruity

Elementals Tong Ren is a unisex scent that opens with blood orange, yuzu and Sichuan pepper, moves into osmanthus and jasmine, and settles on black tea and vanilla. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Most voters pick it for leisure and daily wear, then evenings; business and nights out follow close behind. It reads equally well on men and women. The opening is bright citrus with a sharp edge from ginger and pepper. The heart of osmanthus, jasmine and champaca adds a sweet, slightly fruity floral note. In the base, black tea, vanilla, benzoin and oakmoss turn it powdery, resinous and woody. Duftanker MGO Oriental Selection and Laboratorio Olfattivo Kashnoir have a close profile.

ICONOfly

Fresh · Floral · Green

ICONofly Personne is a unisex scent with a green, fresh and earthy character, where floral and spicy touches rest on a woody base. Cypress, laurel, myrtle and rosemary open it with a herbal, resinous feel. In the heart, hyacinth, davana, immortelle, carob tree and fenugreek soften that with a floral sweetness and a dry, spicy tone. The base of barley, bran and violet leaf settles into a grainy, earthy ground, with oarweed adding a green edge. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, so it stays close and calm around the wearer. Most voters pick it for daytime and leisure, with business wear close behind; fewer choose it for evenings or nights out. Jo Malone Highland Heather and Diptyque Jardin Clos have a close profile.
