Kirrin James Orientalist is a discontinued unisex perfume that sets a bright opening of tangerine, cardamom and blood orange against a spiced heart of ginger, nutmeg and several frankincense types.
Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, so it leaves a close trail without filling the room. It suits men and women alike, though there is no season or occasion preference to point to.
The opening is led by citrus and cardamom, with clove adding a warm spice. In the heart, ginger, nutmeg, black spruce and the frankincense types build a resinous, smoky, green character. The base of cedarwood, labdanum, styrax, myrrh, amber, white sandalwood and benzoin settles into a woody, oriental warmth.
