No. 1 Extreme

7.6

Aus Liebe zum Duft · 2013

Citrus · Floral · Sweet

Aus Liebe zum Duft No. 1 Extreme is a unisex scent that sets a bright opening of citrus and spice against a warm base of leather, benzoin and vanilla; it has been discontinued. It wears with strong longevity and good sillage. Most voters pick autumn and winter, with spring a distant second and summer the least chosen. It leans towards evenings and nights out. Voters split almost evenly between calling it masculine and feminine, so it sits comfortably on either side. The top opens with lime, grapefruit, ginger and cardamom. Jasmine and cedarwood form a floral, woody heart. The base is led by leather, benzoin, vanilla and vetiver, leaving a sweet, resinous, powdery and leathery warmth. Aus Liebe zum Duft No. 2 Extreme and Pierre de Velay No. 1 have a close profile.

Neuwagen

7.4

Christian Kölbl · 2023

Floral · Sweet · Synthetic

Christian Kölbl Neuwagen is a synthetic, floral unisex scent that opens with varnish, ozone and pepper and holds violet and plastic at its heart. Neuwagen is rated strong for both longevity and sillage. Most voters pick fall and winter, with spring not far behind. Use is spread across leisure, business and evening wear. Most voters read it as masculine, though some call it classic or modern. It starts with varnish, ozone and pepper, which feel sharp, glossy and spicy. At the heart, violet, plastic and lily of the valley give a floral but artificial note. The base of saffron, patchouli, cedarwood, musk and leather settles into a creamy, smoky, woody warmth, and the whole stays sweet and synthetic.
