Humus

Michele Bianchi · 2017

Fresh · Floral · Green

Michele Bianchi Humus is a unisex scent that leans towards fall and evening wear, opening fresh and green before sinking into something earthy and smoky. Humus opens with ginger, bergamot and cypress, and its heart holds rum, rose, oud and geosmin. Leather, patchouli root, ambergris and oakmoss form the base. The fresh, green start gradually gives way to a woody, resinous, leathery earthiness, with spicy and floral touches staying in the background. Longevity and sillage are both rated good. Most voters pick fall, with winter and spring close behind, and leisure, evening and night out lead the occasions. Masculine and feminine votes sit close together, so it reads as balanced between the two.

Danza Armena

7.8

Michele Bianchi · 2017

Floral · Sweet · Spicy

Michele Bianchi Danza Armena is a unisex oriental that leans sweet and spicy, with a floral and powdery side. Jasmine and mandarin orange give it a light floral brightness, while cinnamon adds spice. Amber, benzoin, styrax and vanilla carry it into a resinous, creamy warmth, softened by woody and powdery touches. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate. Most voters pick fall, winter and spring, and it suits leisure time, evenings and nights out. Though unisex, more voters read it as feminine. Danza Armena has a profile close to Insolitum Odores Isra and Serge Lutens Santal blanc.

Ladan

7.9

Michele Bianchi · 2017

Fresh · Sweet · Synthetic

Michele Bianchi Ladan is a unisex scent for autumn and winter evenings, pairing a fresh opening with a sweet, resinous depth. Neroli and orange blossom give the opening a bright floral lift. In the heart, cedarwood, Somalian frankincense, geranium and patchouli build a woody, earthy, smoky base. Vanilla and tonka bean sweeten the drydown, while civet adds an animal warmth. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate. Most voters pick autumn and winter, and leisure, evening and nights out lead the occasions. Votes for masculine and feminine sit close together, so it doesn't lean clearly to either side. Réminiscence Patchouli and Al Haramain Black Oudh have a close profile.

Carskij Oud

8.0

Michele Bianchi · 2017

Floral · Spicy · Woody

Michele Bianchi Carskij Oud is a woody, spicy unisex scent in which rose and jasmine soften a core of oud, leather and amber. Voters rate both its longevity and its sillage as good. It is worn in all four seasons, with autumn and winter slightly ahead, and no single occasion dominates across leisure, night out, business and evening. Votes on character split between feminine and masculine, so it sits comfortably on either side. The notes read as one whole rather than stages: oud, leather and patchouli build a woody, smoky, earthy frame. Amber and sandalwood add a resinous, creamy warmth, rose and jasmine bring a floral, powdery side, musk rounds off the animal edge, and bergamot stays in the background.

Notti Bianche

7.0

Michele Bianchi · 2017

Fresh · Floral · Fruity

Michele Bianchi Notti Bianche is a unisex fragrance that pairs a fresh, floral character with a fruity sweetness. Voters rate its longevity and sillage as good, though the number of votes is small, so that picture is tentative. It sits in the middle ground between masculine and feminine rather than leaning either way. The notes read as one whole: pear, mandarin orange, apricot and bergamot bring a fruity freshness, while rose and white blossoms form the floral core. Aldehydes add a bright, slightly synthetic sheen, and patchouli and white musk settle it onto a faintly woody, creamy base.

Oud 2.0

7.2

Michele Bianchi · 2017

Fresh · Floral · Green

Michele Bianchi Oud 2.0 is a woody, leathery unisex fragrance that sets oud and rose against a spicy opening of saffron and nutmeg. It opens with citrus notes, saffron and nutmeg, giving a fresh, spicy start. In the heart, oud and rose lead, placing the floral side on a woody, earthy footing. The base is dominated by amberwood and leather, and the scent dries down oriental and leathery. Green and fruity accents stay in the background, while a touch of sweetness softens the whole. Its profile is close to Montale Aoud Safran and Rue Broca Penthouse Windsor.
