Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee

Swiss Arabian · 2024

Sweet · Synthetic · Gourmand

Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee is a sweet, gourmand unisex scent whose warm, creamy mix of toffee, vanilla and coffee suits evenings in the colder months. Longevity is rated strong and sillage good. Most voters pick winter and fall, and evening and night out lead the occasions. It doesn't sit clearly on one side of the gender line and reads close to both masculine and feminine. It opens with toffee and Arabica coffee. The heart brings pastry, cardamom, walnut, milk and date, with the spice tempering the sweetness. In the base, Bourbon vanilla, benzoin and tonka bean join brown sugar and musk, and the scent settles into a creamy, smoky, oriental sweetness. Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa and Gulf Orchid Vanilla Latte have a close profile.

Gntonic

7.4

M. Micallef · 2023

Fresh · Citrus · Aquatic

M. Micallef Gntonic is a fresh, citrusy and green scent sold as a men's fragrance, and it suits spring and summer days. It opens with pink pepper, peppermint, lime and ginger, with bitter orange adding a slightly sharp edge. Nutmeg, orange blossom and cedar soften the heart. In the base, vetiver, sandalwood and moss lay down a woody, green footing, and white musk and amber finish it with a clean warmth. Longevity and sillage are both moderate. Most voters pick summer and spring, and leisure, daily wear and the office are the occasions named most often. It reads as masculine and modern. Lanvin Vetyver (Eau de Toilette) and Kenneth Cole Black (Eau de Toilette) have a close profile.

Les Destinations · 2023

Fresh · Floral · Fruity

Les Destinations 37°56'N 30°57'E - Isparta is a fresh, sweet floral built around roses with raspberry and blackberry, and it is described as unisex. It opens with pink pepper, raspberry and rose, giving a fruity start. At the heart, blackberry, Turkish damask rose, Moroccan rose absolute and peony carry the sweet, powdery floral character. Vetiver, musk and amber in the base soften it and settle it onto a warm footing. Most voters pick spring and summer, and leisure, daily wear and business are the most chosen settings. Longevity is rated good and sillage moderate, so it stays fairly close to the wearer. Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose and La Rive Poetique have a close profile.

Café Mémoire

7.6

Coreterno · 2026

Sweet · Synthetic · Gourmand

Coreterno Café Mémoire is a unisex fragrance that sets a sweet, gourmand character against smoky, spicy and woody tones. Those who rated its longevity find it good, though the number of votes is small, so that reading is tentative. There are no season or occasion votes, so it is best not to pin it to one time of year; it is made for men and women alike. The top is led by roasted coffee, ash, bread and birch tar, softened by creamy notes. Toward the heart, brown sugar, milk, clove and nutmeg come forward, with patchouli and coffee alongside. The base closes on vanilla, tonka bean, frankincense and sandalwood, leaving a sweet, resinous and woody finish.
