What does Rōzu smell like?

The opening pairs the sharpness of bitter orange and bergamot with the spicy greenness of shiso and pink pepper. At the heart, rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang build the floral side, with gaiac wood adding a woody depth. The base is earthy and resinous, with patchouli, vetiver and myrrh, softened by sandalwood and musk.

Longevity and sillage are moderate. Most voters recommend autumn, spring and winter, with summer chosen less. Daily wear and leisure lead, though business and evening also get votes. Voters read it as somewhat more feminine, yet plenty call it masculine. Maître Parfumeur et Gantier Patchouli 1969 and Clinique Aromatics Elixir have a close profile.
