What does Chapter 5 smell like?
Dry woods and drawing ink come first. The heart holds birch, frankincense and santol, with the birch and frankincense adding a smoky, resinous edge. In the base, vanilla, cedarwood and crystallised moss sweeten it and settle into an earthy, woody finish. The accords read fruity, sweet, spicy and oriental, with synthetic and animal tones in the background.
Longevity and sillage are rated good, though few have voted. Value for money is rated high. It wears comfortably on anyone, and Tom Ford Amber Absolute and Al Haramain Black Oudh have a close profile.
