The top pairs whisky, pine, bergamot and black pepper, so resinous freshness meets a sharp, boozy edge. At the heart, heather, rubber, fir and cigar take over, turning the scent harder, smokier and slightly green. The base of loam, leather, white truffle, peat and burnt rubber leaves a dark, earthy, sooty finish. There is nothing sweet or powdery here; it stays dry and smoky from start to end.
