Opus VIII

It opens with Morrocan orange blossom, Comorian ylang-ylang and Indian jasmine sambac for a floral start. In the heart, vetiver, frankincense, ginger, gaiac wood and saffron build a spicy, smoky, woody feel. The base of benzoin, bay rum and balsam sweetens it into a powdery, resinous warmth.

Longevity is rated strong and sillage good. Most voters pick autumn and winter, and evening and night-out wear lead, with daytime use less common. Feminine and masculine votes are almost even, so it reads as truly unisex. Maria Candida Gentile Sideris and M. Micallef Gaïac have a close profile.
