What does Opal smell like?
The top is led by cinnamon, bergamot, coffee, saffron and black pepper, with metallic notes and laurel alongside. In the heart, orris butter, geranium, lavender and rose give a floral and green tone, while cocoa butter and suede add a creamy softness. The base of patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood, musk and roasted tonka bean settles into a woody, resinous ground.
Most voters find both longevity and sillage strong, so it stays on skin for a long time and carries well. Its animal and spicy side suits cooler weather and evenings best. Its value-for-money rating is low.
