What does Oud Maximus (2018) (Extrait de Parfum) smell like?

It opens with a bright citrus lift of bergamot, orange and cardamom, while pink pepper and jasmine sambac link it to a spiced floral heart. In the middle, May rose, Indian rose and rose attar dominate, with clove and tonka bean adding warmth. The base settles into Indian, Vietnamese and Borneo oud softened by tolu balm and vanilla, with birch tar, civet and deer musk giving it an animalic edge.

Longevity is rated strong and sillage good. Most voters pick autumn and winter, and summer is rarely chosen. It is favoured for evenings, leisure and nights out, and hardly at all for the office. Masculine votes lead, though a fair share call it feminine.
