What does Makassar smell like?

Amber and resins form its warm, sweet body, while blond tobacco and Cade juniper add a smoky edge. Cardamom brings the spice forward, iris adds a soft, powdery touch, and Virginia cedar keeps the wood side dry. The notes read as one whole rather than in layers, giving a warm, dark-toned oriental feel. Perfumes with a close profile include Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan (Eau de Parfum) and Dunhill Moroccan Amber.
