Vétiver (2014)

The opening is a bright citrus mix of bergamot, lemon grass, lemon and grapefruit. In the heart, nutmeg and lavender bring a spicy, green note, softened by orange blossom and geranium. Vetiver leads the base, with cedar and sandalwood building the woody frame and benzoin adding a resinous warmth. The accords also read smoky and earthy.

Longevity and sillage are moderate. Most voters pick spring, fall and summer, with winter far less favoured. It leans towards leisure, daily wear and the office, and reads masculine and classic. Robert Piguet Bois Bleu and Miller Harris No. 3 Veti Vert have a close profile.
