It opens with ylang-ylang, pink pepper, linen, iris and red grapefruit side by side, the floral side kept in check by spice and citrus freshness. In the heart, hay, magnolia, caramel and rambler rose come forward, and the sweetness becomes clearer. Black musk, benzoin, styrax, vanilla and ebony leave a resinous, woody, slightly leathery warmth at the base. Earthy and smoky accords deepen the sweetness without weighing it down. Tom Ford Noir and Le Labo Patchouli 24 have a close profile.
