What does November smell like?

It opens with iris, rosewood and cardamom, with frankincense adding a resinous edge. In the heart, cedarwood, fir balsam and heliotrope build a woody, powdery base. Benzoin, chocolate and tonka bean sweeten the dry-down, frankincense keeps the resin present, and a smoky note stays in the background.

Longevity is good and sillage moderate. Most voters pick fall and winter, and leisure and evening wear lead the occasions. Feminine and masculine votes are almost equal, so it suits both. Guerlain Bois d'Arménie and Andrée Putman Tan d'Epices have a close profile.
