It opens with mandarin orange, orange, bergamot and blackcurrant, a lively, fruity citrus. In the heart, angelica, pink pepper, violet leaf and orange blossom bring a floral, lightly spicy turn. The base settles into a powdery, creamy softness from vanilla and tonka bean, while frankincense, vetiver and ambergris add an oriental, slightly smoky depth. The citrus freshness never quite disappears, but the scent grows steadily sweeter and warmer as it dries.
