What does American Amber smell like?

The top is Rosa rugosa, red currant and spices, a floral start with a fruity edge. In the heart, Borneo, Thai, Papua and Burmese oud join styrax and carnation, and the scent darkens. The base of vanilla, sandalwood, oud resin and deer musk leaves a resinous, animalic, mildly sweet trail.

Longevity is rated very strong and sillage strong, so a light hand is enough. Its dense build suits cooler weather and evenings. It reads neither clearly masculine nor feminine. Bortnikoff Oud Monarch (Extrait de Parfum) and Mancera Roseaoud & Musc have a close profile.
