What does By-and-By smell like?
The opening is fruity and creamy, with roasted coconut, pineapple and rum. In the heart, frangipani and vanilla keep the sweetness going while white ambergris, oak and Chinese oud add a woody, resinous depth. The base of castoreum, Siberian deer musk and Malayan oud turns it animalic and smoky.
Longevity is rated very strong and sillage strong. Most voters pick fall and winter, with spring not far behind and summer chosen least. It has been discontinued. Parfums de Marly Carlisle and Neil Morris Fragrances Burnt Amber have a close profile.
