Black pepper opens it with a dry spice, then saffron and labdanum move in and turn that spice into a soft, resinous warmth. In the base, amber, leather and Bourbon vanilla take over; the leather is softened by the creamy sweetness of the vanilla and settles onto a woody, leathery ground. The overall impression is oriental: spicy, sweet, creamy and faintly floral, with a gourmand, resinous depth.
