What does Chypre (2017) smell like?

The top holds pepper, bergamot, lemon and rose, with the pepper's spice sitting alongside the brightness of lemon and bergamot. In the heart, cedarwood, galbanum and iris take over: galbanum brings the green edge, iris a powdery softness. The base of frankincense, patchouli, benzoin and moss dries down resinous, earthy and faintly smoky. The overall impression is a dry, green chypre that keeps its floral side in the background.
