What does Speakeasy smell like?
It opens with cardamom, pimento and elemi resin for a spicy edge, brightened a little by Italian bergamot, while bourbon whiskey adds a warm, boozy tone. The heart brings plum blossom, tobacco, labdanum and saffron, with gaiac wood drawing a smoky, leathery backdrop. In the base, dark chocolate, vanilla and tonka bean absolute pull it toward a gourmand sweetness, while patchouli, Palo Santo, cedarwood and amber leave a woody, oriental weight. The fruity, sweet side softens the smoke and spice. Tom Ford Plum Japonais and Moresque Scirocco have a close profile.
