Cologne à la Française

The opening is all citrus: citron, lemon, sweet lime, grapefruit and bergamot lead from the first spray. In the heart, vervain, magnolia, white lavender and rosemary add a green, floral lightness. Neroli, iris and benzoin settle underneath, leaving a soft, powdery finish.

Longevity and sillage are moderate. Voters place it mostly in leisure, business and daily wear, and rarely for evenings or nights out. Feminine is the most common character vote, though a fair number call it masculine. Cologne à la Russe and Acqua di Parma Acqua Nobile Magnolia have a close profile.
