What does Santal smell like?
The top notes are thyme, cardamom and raspberry, giving a herbal, spicy opening with a touch of fruit. Nagarmotha, iris and saffron lead the heart. In the base, castoreum, leather and sandalwood make it woody, leathery and oriental.
Longevity and sillage are rated good, though the number of votes is small, so this is only a rough guide. It sits comfortably on men and women alike. Tom Ford Tuscan Leather (Eau de Parfum) and Arabian Oud Bussma Blue have a close profile.
