Iris Pallida

It opens with orange blossom, rose and violet leaf, a green, fresh floral start with aniseed adding a faint spicy edge. In the heart, iris, vetiver and patchouli lead while cedarwood gives a woody frame. The base of white musk, gaiac wood and ambrette seed softens everything into a powdery finish.

Longevity is moderate and sillage weak, so it stays close to the skin. Most voters pick spring and summer, and daily wear and the office come up most often. It has been discontinued. Givenchy III and Bois d'Iris have a close profile.
