What does Rose de Feu smell like?

It opens with cardamom, bergamot, magnolia and ylang-ylang, fresh and citrusy. The heart brings jasmine, rose and gingerbread, giving the floral side a sweet, spicy warmth. In the base, vanilla, benzoin, amber and sandalwood dominate, vetiver and patchouli add a woody floor, and white musk leaves everything soft and powdery.

Its longevity and sillage are moderate. Most voters pick autumn and spring, and it leans towards daytime and leisure wear, while also working for evenings and the office. Rancé 1795 Eau de France and Charrier Madame Charrier have a close profile.
