What does Le parfum d'Ida smell like?

The top is blackberry, clove, aldehydes and elemi resin, a sweet fruit and spice start with a bright, fresh edge. In the heart, gardenia, hyacinth, ylang-ylang, narcissus and geranium form a full floral garden. The base darkens it with vetiver, iris, civet, Russian leather, oud, myrrh and oakmoss, leaving a woody, smoky and animal trail.

That contrast between a sweet, slightly synthetic brightness and a hard leathery ground gives the scent its character. Zoologist Civet and Etat Libre d'Orange Vierges et Toreros have a close profile.
