It opens with oak wood, oriental spices, Damask rose, Java vetiver and birch tar together; smoke and earth come forward at once, while the rose softens the hard edges a little. In the heart, myrrh, labdanum and cedarwood give it a resinous, dry woodiness. The base is dominated by oud, ambergris and rum, settling into something dark, warm and oriental.
