What does Urla smell like?

In the top, fig brings a green sweetness, cardamom adds a spicy dryness and blackcurrant gives a tart fruitiness. The heart of seawater, violet leaf and basil pulls the scent in a salty, green and airy direction. At the base, driftwood, ambergris and sandalwood build a soft, woody foundation. It starts with a coastal freshness and settles into a calm, woody warmth. Paul Smith Men (Eau de Toilette) and Olfactory NYC Cam have a close profile.

In the brand's words

Sweet meets salt. Warm skin meets cold sea. Ripe fig, a sharp bite of blackcurrant, basil and violet leaf running green and cool, salt in the air, and a warm, skin-close base that stays on you after a swim.

Green, salty, warm. Fig and basil up front, the sea in the background, a soft base that stays close by evening. Unisex, no age. If you want the Aegean without the postcard, this is the one.

Written for an Aegean morning, worn all year. Summer takes it outside; winter keeps it under a coat, where the fig and basil stay green against the cold.
