It opens with orange, lemon and bergamot, which give a brief lift before cistus appears in the heart. The weight sits in the base: tonka bean, vanilla and rum carry the sweetness, labdanum and tolu balm add a resinous warmth, and gaiac wood, patchouli and vetiver lay down a woody, smoky floor. Spicy and oriental touches run through it.
