It opens with lime, bergamot and grapefruit for a sharp brightness, and mint cools it further. In the heart, rum, juniper, cumin, coriander and aniseed bring the spice forward and add a faintly sweet warmth. The base settles into a woody, resinous footing of poplar bud, labdanum, cedar and vetiver. A synthetic accord runs through it, so the scent feels bright and polished rather than natural. The dry cedar and vetiver balance the fresh citrus against the sweeter spice.
