Smoke and Mirrors

It opens with aromatic notes and osmanthus, then moves into a heart of tonka bean, tobacco, myrrh and honey, which gives it a sweet, resinous weight. White musk and Atlas cedar dry down underneath, laying a leathery, woody base beneath the oriental accord.

Voters find its longevity strong and its sillage good, though the number of votes is small, so that reading is tentative. Its dense, warm build suits cooler weather and evenings, and it leans neither masculine nor feminine. Boucheron Oud de Carthage and Amouage Journey Man have a close profile.
