Black pepper, rosewood, thyme and elemi resin give it a dry, spicy opening. The heart holds patchouli, heliotrope, rum and gaiac wood, with heliotrope adding the powder and rum the gourmand side. The base of benzoin, vanilla, amber and leather settles it into a warm, resinous finish.

Voters rate both longevity and sillage as good, though the sample is small, so those ratings are tentative. It is classed as a women's fragrance. Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Ambre and Hermès L'Ambre des Merveilles have a close profile.
